Welcome to the Bess of Hardwick Angling Club.

The Bess of Hardwick Angling Club is a voluntary organisation, run by members for the members. Founded in 1963, our focus is providing sustainable fishing at the Hardwick Row Ponds in partnership with the National Trust.  Hardwick Park creates a stunning backdrop to The Row Ponds and is widely regarded as a premier location for competition or relaxed leisure angling. Our small and very welcoming club offers inclusive angling for all ages and abilities. The club maintains a small number of purpose built fully accessible platforms and double platforms to support angling with family and friends.

Service is at the heart of our culture; all club members are required to contribute in some way towards the running of the club. There are a broad range of opportunities to contribute for all abilities and interests.  Our service membership is how such a small club has been able to maintain a stunning fishing location and has been key to our success for over 60 years.

We are proud to support our local communities through Charity events and in developing the next generations of anglers through our highly popular Junior Angling section.  Our qualified coaches work in partnership with the Angling Trust to offer high quality instruction for beginners through to more experienced juniors in a safe and encouraging environment.
