BOHAC partner with the National Trust to maintain the Row Ponds and ensure we are compliant with Hardwick Hall's estate plans. Through our regular testing and monitoring (Dissolved Oxygen and chemical tests) we provide feedback about the health of the Row Ponds.  We also share and agree plans for improving oxygenating flora and any changes recommended by experts for improving oxygen in the  Row Ponds.

 

We work closely with the Angling Trust to deliver our Learn To Fish events and undertake training for coaching and supporting our organised events.

To help us to implement best practice in managing the Row Ponds we engage with the Environment Agency to:

• share information about changing risks and threats to the club

• understand broader requirements for the management of ponds, water courses and nature

• assess changing threats due to global warming, fish disease and predation.

We partner with Derbyshire Rural Crime team to report crime and illegal fishing at the Row Ponds. The Rural Crime team provide policing back up to ensure the Row Ponds are a safe environment for our members.

To enable our Learn To Fish days we partner with Angling Direct [Sheffield Branch] to provide discounted fishing equipment and baits.
