Our purpose is to provide responsible and sustainable angling at the Row Ponds whilst caring for nature. We do that through continuous maintenance of the Row Ponds, sensitively managing the flora and fauna of the ponds and the spillways linking them together. This ensures we provide not only exceptional angling but also habitats for nature, helping them to survive environmental challenges. We are fully aligned with and support the National Trust strategy.

 

Our club has service at its heart. Service is fundamental to the way the club is operated and all members are required to provide voluntary time to help run the club and maintain the Row Ponds. In providing service to the club we are also providing service to the National Trust, working in partnership with them to ensure all that we do is aligned to National Trust aims and objectives. Together we provide a small but significant contribution to delivering the Trust's strategy, demonstrating partnership and team working not only with the Trust but also with other Tenants at Hardwick Hall.

The National Trust strategy has made a clear statement that it needs help from everyone to address the extreme challenges that nature faces now and in the future due to global warming. Our purpose stands the club fully behind the Trusts strategy and will continuously care for nature at the Row Ponds as it has always done since 1963.
